Established in 2015.
The first Original Pancake House (OPH) opened in 1953 in Portland, Oregon, by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, who collected recipes for their restaurant from around the world. They soon franchised the name and recipes into locations spanning over more than half of the U.S. states. The Whittier, CA location opened in 2015 and has continued the rich tradition set by the Highets. In 2019, a local Whittier family became the owners and operators of The OPH Whittier. The great service and food however, has not and will not, ever change. Our goal is to continue to make each one of our guests feel special and welcomed. Leaving with a full belly and happy experience.
